Jack de Groot to visit Córdoba and "El Albayzín" in January 2012.

From 1998 until 2004 Jack de Groot lived in Granada's Albayzín, the gypsy neighborhood which overlooks the old city center. While completing his study on a possible intertextual relationship between Federico García Lorca and Luis de Góngora he rented an apartment high in the Albayzín quarter, not far away from Granada's Cartuja University Campus. His study: Intertextuality through Obscurity. The poetry of Federico García Lorca and Luis de Góngora was successfully examined, and published by the University Press of the South in New Orleans USA (330 pp, 2003).

After a lengthy absence the author will revisit the Albayzín, and meet up with his neighbours. Also a visit to the Museo Casa Federico García Lorca is on the program, as well as a quick visit to the Alhambra and Generalife.
